    Sports After School Clubs - Book Now for January start

    Dear Parents/Carers,
    Places are still available for our Spring term Sports After-School Clubs, led by Foundation Sports. The registration form is attached for you to access direct links and details.

    We can confirm that Key Stage 2 (Year 3 - 6) clubs uptake has been slow, so unless uptake improves these may not go ahead. Please book asap if you are intending on using the clubs.

    We will not be releasing our staff led Spring clubs registration form until the first week back in January. Our staff-led clubs will not clash with Foundation Sports club times.

    Foundation Sports clubs begin the week commencing 10th January.
    Staff led clubs will begin the following week commencing 17th January (details coming your way on 5/01/22)

    Spring Term After-School Sports Clubs

    Dear Parents/Carers,
    As promised, we are widening our after-school clubs from January 2022, to include external providers. We have teamed up with Foundation Sports, a nation wide and partnered company to our Wrap Around provider, Shine Clubs. The sports clubs will run until 4.30pm, to allow parents to book the second session with Shine Clubs (4.30pm to 6.00pm) if provision is required.
    If the Spring term demand is high, we expect Foundation Sports to provide more clubs in future terms.

    Zones of Regulation toolkit for home use

    Dear Parents/Carers,
    Today your child will be taking home some resources to help them make their own Zones of Regulation chart to use at home over the Summer period. The attached guidance letter explains the self-regulation strategy and how mirroring what we do at School, with the children, would be of benefit to them at home.
    In the Autumn term we will be providing training to parents on the system.

    Making it Mindful - holiday time creative arts workshops

    Dear Parent/Carer,
    Making it Mindful, will be holding children's creative arts workshops at the Epping Forest Community Church, Loughton, during the school holidays on behalf of Essex Council.

    The workshops are free and for children of the age 8 to 11 that receive free school meals in term time and children from parents who are on a low income.

    The sessions will be a mixture of arts and crafts and movement, and we will also be providing a hot meal for lunch time.

    Invicta Summer Academy

    Dear Parent/Carer,
    We have been made aware by our Local Education Authority, of a summer academy that is available to support school children during the summer holidays.

    The Summer Academy is provided by Invicta National Academy, and is open to all school students, aged 6 years to 16 years, and it offers free, daily, live, interactive, online teaching, delivered by fully qualified teachers. The lessons take place via Zoom, and children can participate in as many sessions as they would like.

    Essex ActivAte – Holiday Activity and Food Programme

    Dear Parents and Carers,
    Essex County Council, in partnership with Active Essex are pleased to provide Essex ActivAte holiday clubs this summer that are free for low income families who are eligible for benefits based free school meals and for working families who are struggling financially and who would benefit from this holiday support. Every club offers fun physical activity, a range of enrichment activities and every child attending will get a nutritious meal. The offer also includes specialist SEND provision and mental wellbeing hubs across the county.

    Tomorrow, Wednesday 26th May, Ruby in Year 4 will be selling treats and lemonade to raise money for Dementia UK. The stall will be open from 3pm until 3.30pm.
    To ensure social distancing is maintained, please use the grassed area to line up and wait for service.
