Dear Families,
This Friday (15th December), all children in the school from Reception – Year 6 will be taking part in our annual ‘Santa Dash’. This is an event run by ‘Your school games’. Miss Nicholson and a member of our local PE partnership, WESSP, will be running the event across the day on our school grounds.
The aim of the event is to get children moving and active. A track will be set out on the playground, and children in all classes will complete as many laps as possible in the given time. We then add all our ‘laps’ together, turn them into miles and see how far Santa could have travelled. This is an event that the children all love, and they can complete at their own pace, in their own fun way.
All children will need to come to school in PE kit on this day. We also invite them to wear Christmas headwear if they have any: such as hats and antlers etc.
