Dear Year 4 Families,
A reminder that swimming for Year 4 starts tomorrow.
The sessions will take place across 10 weeks, every Friday, from Friday 26th April 2024 to Friday 12th July 2024. (Please note that swimming will not take place on Friday 3rd May as the class will be on a visit that day.)
For the swimming sessions, you will need to ensure that your child has the following kit for them to take part in the lessons:
• Boys: Must wear swimming trunks (NO SHORTS) and a swimming hat.
• Girls: Must wear a 1-piece swimming suit and a swimming hat.
• All Pupils: a towel and a kit bag to carry swimwear.
Swimming goggles are allowed but these are not essential.
(If pupils do not have the above, they will not be allowed to swim. This is a Davenant’s policy.)
Lastly, to limit any anxieties, please make sure the children practise putting on their own swimming hat and goggles, and that they are confident in changing into and out of their swimwear.
