Breaktime snacks - no free fruit next week18 July 2025 (by admin) |
Dear Reception, Year 1 and 2 Families,
As you know, the government provide free fruit to our Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils. However, as some schools have now closed for the holidays, the fruit provider will not be making deliveries to us for next Monday and Tuesday.
Could you therefore ensure you are providing a healthy snack for your child to have at morning break time. Below is our policy on healthy snacks that can be brought in to school:
Breaktime snacks from home
At morning break times our pupils are allowed to consume fresh and dried fruit, rice cakes (not chocolate or caramel covered), crackers and cheese, vegetables (e.g. carrots sticks, cucumber, tomatoes etc.) and plain water.
Examples of foods and drinks not allowed are crisps, biscuits, cereal bars, fizzy drinks, juice and flavoured water.
With kind regards,
Coopersale and Theydon Garnon C.E. Primary School
