Dear Year 1 Parents/Carers,

Mrs Purdue will be having her last day in Year 1 next Tuesday 19th May, before starting her maternity leave. I'm sure you all will join our staffing team in wishing Mrs Purdue all the best for the coming weeks and months ahead. Our Year 1 children have been wonderful to Mrs Purdue and we hope you can tell your child how proud we are of them.

As you know, Mrs Purdue job shares with Mrs Jackson, who will continue teaching from Wednesday mid morning to end of Fridays. To cover the last half term of this school year, we have Miss Dumbrill who will take on the role as Year 1 teacher for Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday first session. Both Mrs Purdue and Mrs Jackson are currently transitioning information to Miss Dumbrill, and once we are in Summer 2 half term, Mrs Jackson will meet weekly with Miss Dumbrill to ensure consistency in their planning, preparation and assessments. Of course, our Curriculum lead and Deputy Headteacher (Miss Nicholson), will be supporting the Year 1 team in the transition too.
