End of year arrangements for Year 618 June 2026 (by admin) |
Dear Year 6 Families,
A hard copy of this information will be sent home with your child today.
Re. Year 6 - end of year arrangements – what do parents need to know?
Please read below for the planned end of year activities for our Year 6 class.
Secondary School Transition Days
If you have not received direct communication from your child’s secondary school on transition arrangements, please contact them ASAP. Do make sure to let our front office know of any transition day absence, as without prior notice it will be marked as an unauthorised absence.
SATS Results
On Monday 13th July we expect to be sending home your child’s SATS results report.
Year 6 Performance
On Wednesday 8th July Year 6 families will be welcome to watch the Year 6 leavers’ performance. Session times are 9.15am and 1.45pm and you must fill in the return slip to reserve up to 4 seats across the two performance times. This performance letter is also being sent home today.
Leavers’ Lunch
On Wednesday 15th July we will be ordering Pizza for our Year 6s lunch, paid for by our wonderful PTA. After the lunch, Year 6 will have a fun filled afternoon.
Church Service
Our Year 6 leavers Church service will be taking place on Thursday 16th July at St Alban’s Church (Coopersale). We will aim to start the service at 9.15am and expect the service to end by 10.15am. Year 6 children are to wear full school uniform to the service. All Year 6 family members are welcome to attend.
Class Party
Year 6 will be having their class party on Thursday 16th July in the afternoon session. This will be an afternoon of fun, including games outside. For this reason, they can either stay in their school uniform from the Leavers’ service in the morning, or they can bring a change of clothes in a bag, which must be suitable to complete games in.
Last Day
Our last day is on Friday 17th July. This will be a non-uniform day for the Year 6 class only. If your child wishes to bring in a school shirt to be signed by staff and their Year 6 peers, we are happy for them to do so, however, this must be brought in and not worn on the day.
With kind regards,
Coopersale and Theydon Garnon C.E. Primary School
