Dear Parents and Carers,
As the weather is getting colder, we'd like to remind you to ensure your child comes to school with appropriate outdoor clothing each day. Please make sure your child has:
- A warm, waterproof coat or jacket

A coat that is clearly labelled with their name

Appropriate clothing for outdoor play at break and lunchtimes (in line with our school's Uniform Policy)
Why this matters:
- Children will continue to play outside during breaks, whatever the weather (unless conditions are unsafe)
- Being outdoors is important for their physical health and wellbeing
- Appropriate clothing helps them stay comfortable and focused on learning
Top tips:
- Check the weather forecast each morning and dress your child accordingly
- Layer clothing so they can adjust if they get too warm
- Consider gloves, hats and scarves as we move further into winter
If your child doesn't have a suitable coat, please let us know as soon as possible so we can support you.
